Built for civil project teams

Keep projects moving. Let engineers engineer.

Civil HQ is being built for the day-to-day work of running civil projects: turning field notes, client changes, schedules, hours, and cost information into clear next steps. The goal is less chasing, copying, and status hunting, so engineers and project managers can stay focused on the work.

Current stage: Active development and customer discovery. Not yet ready for production use.

The problem we’re investigating

Project work rarely lives in one place.

Teams piece together what is happening from inboxes, spreadsheets, shared drives, schedules, accounting systems, and memory. The plan gets stale, changes lose context, and project managers spend time reconciling information instead of moving the job forward.

01

Where did that come from?

Client direction, field notes, and decisions get separated from the task or schedule they changed.

02

What is the real status?

Hours, progress, budget, and schedule live in different places, so a clear answer takes manual work.

03

Who owns the next step?

Information passes through email and meetings before it becomes a task with an owner and due date.

These are the problems we are testing through conversations with civil project teams. We want to learn where the work actually bogs down before calling the product finished.

What we’re building

The project record should help run the job.

Civil HQ is aimed at the work project managers and engineers already do: build the schedule, assign the next task, track hours and progress, and understand where time and cost are heading. Each update should strengthen the project history instead of creating another place to maintain.

01

One working project history

Keep decisions, changes, hours, Tasks, and Milestones connected to the Project and Client they belong to.

Foundation in development
02

Schedules that reflect the work

Build and adjust Milestones, due dates, and assignments without rebuilding the plan in several tools.

Task and Milestone foundation exists
03

Tasks that reach the team

Turn meeting notes, client requests, and field updates into clear Tasks with an owner and due date.

04

Hours without the headache

Make time entry quick enough to do as work happens, with hours tied back to the right project and task.

05

Time and cost outlook

Use actual progress and project history to spot schedule pressure and forecast time and cost earlier.

Why Civil HQ

Less clerical work. More engineering.

The aim is simple: engineers should not have to become full-time data coordinators to keep a project current. Civil HQ should capture the work once, carry it forward, and leave professional judgment with the people responsible for the job.

  • Enter it onceuse it across the project
  • People stay in chargeof official records
  • Context stays attachedto changes and decisions
  • History stays usefulfor the next decision
  • Work stays visibleby project and role
  • AI handles busyworkpeople make the call

Where Civil HQ stands today

The foundation is real. The day-to-day tools are still being built.

Civil HQ is in active development and customer discovery. The underlying records exist for firms, users, clients, projects, team membership, Tasks, Milestones, roles, sign-in context, and history.

Now we’re turning that foundation into something a real project team can use every day. The customer-ready MVP is not complete.

Who we want to learn from

People who keep jobs moving.

We’re learning how civil teams plan work, make assignments, handle changes, track hours, and answer the constant question: where does this project really stand?

  • Civil project managers
  • Project engineers
  • Technical and field-exposed staff
  • Firm leadership
  • Operations, IT, and finance participants
